29 Jan Sharks Rego for 2025
Welcome back to the 48th year of Cronulla Sharks Boardriders.
In 2024, we saw over 100 members surf in the club, riding a collective 2,655 waves across 133 heats. Thank you to all of the competitors and committee for a great year, and we are going to go bigger and better in 2025!
2025 Membership
Registration is OPEN via LiveHeats and can be completed here. We will have the usual divisions, with the addition of the Over 60’s “Fossils”:
- Micro Grom Under 10 Parent Assist
- Cadets Under 13
- Juniors Under 16
- Masters Over 45
- Fossils Over 60
- Women
- Open
This year, Surfing NSW is introducing a mandatory membership fee for all affiliated club surfers. This change brings surfing in line with other sports across NSW and ensures sustainable support for grassroot suring, personal accident insurance, helps fund club operational support, in-region judging, coaching and talent development, access to sanctioned events (formerly $55) and new club benefits. The club will help subsidise your SNSW membership fee to minimise any fee increases on your membership. This membership registration is completed in the LiveHeats sign-up and further details can be seen on the attached PDF.
There is a family discount available to family members (2+). Please reply to this email for eligible families to receive your discount code.
2025 Schedule
This year, we are excited to be returning to Ulladulla for the April pointscore. Members are encouraged to come down and camp on the Friday and Saturday nights (contest on Saturday), and bookings can be made at the Burril Pines website. Historically this has been a great opportunity for members to get away to surf some great waves, and further details will be released in the coming weeks.
As usual, we will run on the first Saturday of each month. Event dates are as follows:
- 1st March
- 5th April (🏕️South Coast Trip)
- 3rd May
- 7th June
- 5th July
- 2nd August
- 6th September
- 4th October
- 1st November (👴Cronulla Retro Comp)
Contest Registration
Please register by Thursday night beforehand so that the draw can be completed and released on Friday. We cannot guarantee you will have an opportunity to surf if you come down on the day without prior registration.
Pending conditions, the schedule may differ from previous years so all divisions should be prepared to surf from 7AM. It would be appreciated if we can get some numbers down to the beach early to assist with setting up the tents and volunteer to judge the early rounds.
Merch
This year, all members will receive a free Sharks T-Shirt and a Sharks Cap. There is also a Fleece Hoodie available to order. When registering, please select your t-shirt size and colour preference for your cap (blue, olive, black & pink)
A Fleece Hoodie is also available to order when registering and costs $80. The cut-off date for the Hoodie is the 15 March so we can organise stock prior to the South Coast trip:
ABB National Final
The Australian Boardriders Battle Finals are at Burleigh Heads on the 8th and 9th of March. Our squad along with a big support crew will be heading north to take on the best teams in the country. Keep an eye on socials and the event will be live streamed on the Surfing Australia website as well as Fox Sports and Kayo.
Grom WhatsApp
We also have a WhatsApp group for Micro & Cadet parents to answer any questions throughout the year, so please click the link if you haven’t yet joined!
