Amazingly 2027 marks the 50th year of crowning Cronulla Sharks Boardriders Open Club Champions-from Mark Pringle in 1978 to Hayden Blair in 2025 (this years champ is yet to be finalized)This is the first message to save the date for a Big Reunion Night at Northies Hotel-Saturday March 13th 2027. Ticketing and details are yet to be announced but will follow ASAPWe can get 300 plus into the event which is a week and a bit before Bells, so Life Member Ratso and Dog can also attend-please tell former members who aren't on social media. We need all former Open Club Champs (25) Women Club Champions (7) World Tour Pro's (6/7) Life Members (12) Alley Masters winners (15) AND importantly anyone who has been a member of this great club. A pumping Wanda right rip bowl greeted todays surfers as we made the trek up the beach for contest #8-it meant no toilets, food, water or coffee but it was offshore all day.Wins for Harvey Richards first up in the U13's over Sonny and Flynn Lloyd, Slater Young took the 10's win with Koru snapping at his heels, Sonny claimed the U16 crown over Alessandro and Veage just claimed the O60 title in the last seconds with born again Gally pushing the field into second.In the Women's , Brianna Batterham claimed her first win with a dominate display putting Grace into second with Sam Babister third.The 45's was a victory to Greg Brown with Fishkiller riding the lefts almost snatching the win with Fitzy third.In the red hot Opens field Haydo hit hard early with a 6.9 making Jordan and Jay chase with 6's, he then scored a 7.4 on his last wave to put the result out of reach .Thanks to the helpers for packing up even though we might now need a new tent!
