Another board going to a great local surfer who had recently snapped his board.
This young man Ronny surfs really well and has a lot of potential to develop into an international comp surfer so making sure he has the right equipment for training is vital 🤙
This board was delivered by the McGill family🙏and was donated by Dan Cronulla Sharks Boardriders 💪 we also provided a nice new legrope from FK Surf Co. This was possible because of the hard work from Australia Kava Shop with our "shells for boards initiative". The support VSA has received through this initiative is just awesome🙏🤙🌊🏝🇻🇺
A big Faftai for all involved, we are all so grateful to have so many wonderful people around us.
Lei Malo 🇻🇺 🌊🏝🤙
Just returned from another fantastic #southcoast club contest-2025 was the year the south coast trip was reinstated and its a great initiative to grow club comradery with good waves and good times.
Held at Wairo in 3-4ft pumping waves the wind was pretty kind to us before the southerly blew through at midday.
Congrats goes to Shelley Fitz and the girls who ran a remarkable 8 girl final which was as competitive as we have ever had in our 49 year history-it was won by Grace Gosby but she was pushed the whole way by Scarlett Gray and Claudia Kennedy.
The O60's also had a strong five man final won by Richard Maurer, with Fletch beating off the O45 competitors to claim the Hairyman beer voucher.
The Micros saw the best of the conditions with Slater Young ,Koru and Maya Lily Johnsen catching some incredible waves with Slater just taking the win.
It was another 13,16s double for Sonny Leong but he was really pushed by Alessandro Moretto in the Juniors.
The Opens got the worst conditions but put on the best show with Kash Brown snatching the cash after just returning from Hawaii competing in the King of the Groms competition. Stay tuned for the winners announcement.
Competition now returns to North Cronulla in April with the Junior Regionals and Regional Club Champions surf off also on the 21-22 of March.
We return to Wairo on the 7th March for our second Pointscore of the year!
Pack ya swag and hit the road next weekend do a great couple of days away. We had a great turnout last year and hope to go bigger and better for 2026.
Make sure you call ahead to book through Rhiannon as there is a pricing issue on the website. Tell her you’re with Sharks Boardriders and it should be under $50 a night ⛺️
Entry is now open for all divisions on LiveHeats.
